JHAPA, Nov 3: Rumpum Jhapa XI entered the final of the Surunga Gold Cup Football Tournament beating Kathmandu-based Saraswati Club 2-1 in the first semifinal played at Kankai HSS, Surunga in Jhapa.
Buddha Chemjong scored both goals for Jhapa while Dipesh Shrestha netted a goal for Saraswati. Dipesh gave Saraswati the lead in the 28th minute.

However, Buddha scored both goals in the second half to help Jhapa secure its final berth. Man-of-the match Buddha leveled the score in the 66th minute and scored the winner in 69th minute.
Kankai Sports Foundation and Kathmandu-based Church Boys' United will play the second semifinal on Wednesday. The final is scheduled for Friday.
