Excelsior off to winning start
KATHMANDU: The Excelsior School started the Fourth Daffodil Cup Inter-school Basketball Tournament on a winning note defeating Mount Glory School 25-20 in the boys´ category on Tuesday. Tashi Gurung scored 10 points for the winning team. In the girls´ category, Mahendra Bhawan School beat Chandbagh School 19-15 with 10 points from Shanti Shrestha.
Similarly, in the Fifth Daffodil Cup Junior Football Tournament, RIBS defeated NIMS 5-3, thanks to a hat-trick from Sojan Ghale and a goal each from Sohan Maharjan and Anis Maharjan. Bijay Basnet also scored a hat-trick for NIMS.
