Deep Bahadur Chapagain, Rudra Bahadur Ghimire and Chakra Bahadur Ghimire were injured in the attack of Basanta Rai (23) of Khudunabari refugee camp, Jhapa. Among them, Deep Bahadur is said to be in a serious condition. [break]
It is said that Rai resorted to the attack while villagers were trying to settle a dispute that resulted in by his "attempt to rape" the 12-year-old daughter of his landlord Deep Bahadur.
Sub-Inspector Bhakta Raj Shrestha said police have arrested Rai and investigation is in progress.
12 injured in various mishaps
NAWALPARASI, Sept 18: Twelve people were injured, four seriously, in separate road accident Saturday in Nawalparasi district.
A jeep (Lu 1 Ja 741) overturned en route to Damar from Belani VDC, injuring 11 passengers. Among the injured, Tila Tamang (30) and Ishwor Ghale (30) are in serious condition.
Similarly, a motorcycle (Lu 4 Pa 2133) heading to East from Sunwal hit a rickshaw and seriously injured Govinda Ahari. He has been referred to Gorakhpur of India by doctors in Butwal.
