In the men´s 49 kg, Resham Bahadur Shahi of Army defeated Sanjay Bhujel of Kathmandu while Bikram Pariyar of APF beat his club mate Asha Tamang to secure their places in the final.
Likewise, Sudesh Manandhar of Nepal Police Club (NPC) defeated Rajkumar Lama of Meghdoot Club and Kabindra Maharjan of APF edged out Subash BK of Army in the matches held at Chunikhel VDC of Kathmandu to enter the final of men´s 52 kg category.
Army´s Om Bahadur Pun and Puran Rai of APF won their respective matches to make it to the final of men´s 56 kg category. Other finalists decided after Friday´s matches were Armymen Dipesh Lama and Chiranjivi Belbase in the men´s 81 kg category.
In the women´s section, Dewana Sherma of NPC and Rama BK of Dang entered the final of 45 kg category winning their respective matches. Sherma defeated Priyanka Gurung of Budhanilkantha while BK saw off Sabitri Tamang of Bhaktapur.
In the women´s 48 kg category, Pramila Pandey of APF and Shanti Chaudhary of Kanchanpur secured berths in the final. Other women boxers who cemented their place in the final were Maya Chaudhary of APF and Sunita Maharjan of Bosigaun in 51 kg; Nisha Tamang of NPC and Bimala Chaudhary of Dang in 54 kg; Sanju Lama of APF and Laxmi Thapa of Budhanilkantha in 57 kg, Saraswati Rana of APF and Renu Chaudhary of Salyang in 60 kg; and Neha Lama of Budhanilkantha and Minas Rai of NPC in 64 kg categories.
