Dahal assured a group of lawmakers, who visited him at the Maoists´ parliamentary party office in Singha Durbar, that the special committee meeting scheduled for Tuesday will substantially advance the integration process.[break]
Responding to lawmakers´ query on what exactly were the obstruction in completing the peace process and constitution writing, Dahal said some leaders were insisting on concluding the army integration ahead of promulgating the new statute whereas "We are for settling some of the fundamental issues of new constitution simultaneously".
Over 100 lawmakers from various political parties, who have launched a campaign to pile pressure on top leaders to conclude peace and constitution in time, visited him as part of their campaign.
