The farm lies some 50 meters from the hatchery owned by Subirman Singh Basnet where bird flu virus was detected and subsequently some 19,000 eggs were destroyed, a day earlier.[break]
According to Narayan Prasad Ghimire, senior veterinarian at DoAH, around 3,000 chickens were found to have been infected by the virus in Pokharel’s poultry farm.
