Addressing the assembly, General Secretary of All Nepal National Independent Student Union-Revolutionary Himal Sharma said it is not the right move to phase out PCL without finding its appropriate alternative.
General Secretary of All Nepal National Free Student Union Madhav Dhungel said the nationwide agitation will continue till the student unions´ demands are met.
He said the agitation would end only if the agreement signed with the Ministry of Education to find out alternative to PCL were implemented.
Today´s gathering also announced that a public hearing will be held among civil society leaders, students and guardians on July 25, lock out of account section of all private higher secondary schools on July 26 and lock out of account sections of all private and public secondary schools on July 27.
