Hemraj Dasaudi of local Dhrmawati VDC-5 was killed and Kamal Giri of Khung VDC-8 was seriously injured when a truck coming from the opposite direction hit and knocked down their motorcycle at local Motipur, Tiram VDC-5 on August 31. Seriously injured Giri has been taken to Kathmandu for treatment.

Public transport vehicles operating on the short and long routes to and from here have stayed off the road since the morning. Similarly, educational institutions are also closed since the morning today due to the shutdown. However, the local market is partially open.
