One of his staffers was arrested while illegally carrying some US dollars from Tribhuvan International Airport. Based in information extracted from the staffer, he was charged and convicted of illegal trade of US dollars even though he never attended the court to defend himself.

Police arrested him from Kalimati on Wednesday. According to a police officer, he had been secretly staying at his private residence in Old Baneshwar.

Kathmandu District Court last week handed a list of persons convicted by the court but avoiding the sentence to the Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu, and directed the police to arrest them. Police have arrested three of them so far.
