'3500 defect UCPN (Maoist) for CPN-Maoist'

KATHMANDU, Jan 8: Around 3,500 cadres defected UCPN (Maoist) to join CPN-Maoist party led by Baidya faction, CPN-Maoist claimed.



Those defected also include 16 state committee member of UCPN (Maoist) Tamsaling and Newa state committee led by Sangam Limbu and Dorje Lama respectively, CPN-Maoist said. [break]



They were welcomed by CPN-Maoist General Secretary Ram Bahadur Thapa amid a function at party office, Buddhanagar today.
