The bus with registration plate no. Na 3 Kha 5194 overturned in front of the Paudel Hotel at Bengari Chowk. The bus was heading towards Dharan from Kathmandu. All the injured in the incident are bus passengers. The mishap took place at 5 a.m.[break]
Among the injured, five are said to be in critical condition. The rest have sustained minor injuries. All the injured passengers have been taken to the Biratnagar Neuro Hospital for treatment.
Police said the bus overturned as it was travelling at high speed and the driver lost control of the bus. The bus driver is absconding after the accident.
