18 people arrested for harassing passengers at TIA

The individuals are accused of forcibly dragging passengers, harassing them, luring them to hotels under their control, taking commissions from both the hotels and travelers, and engaging in quarrels and abusive behavior.

KATHMANDU, April 4: Police have arrested 18 individuals for harassing passengers in the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) area.



According to Nepal Police, the arrests were made around 10 PM on Friday night in the TIA vicinity.

The individuals are accused of forcibly dragging passengers, harassing them, luring them to hotels under their control, taking commissions from both the hotels and travelers, and engaging in quarrels and abusive behavior.


Nepal Police said the investigation into the matter is ongoing.
